Circle of Care (CoC) brings together healthcare workers across all disciplines who have a hand in quality patient outcomes. Our mission is to educate, share evidence based best practices and discuss diverse topics, especially as they pertain to the prevention of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs).

CoC is actively involved in organizing local and regional collaborative clinical education conferences, with industry organizations such as IAHCSMM, AAMI, AORN, APIC , AST, AHE and many others.

Our goal is to ensure that these esteemed groups collaborate and foster a culture of teamwork that can be taken back to their respective facilities and incorporated into daily clinical practice to create transformational improvements in patient outcomes.

Kisha Miller, BS, MHA is the Founder of Circle of Care (CoC)/SPICE, an organization whose objective is providing an evidence-based set of teamwork tools, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes by improving communication and teamwork skills among health care professionals

We give transparency to how healthcare professionals operate in their healthcare settings and share this insight in order to foster collaboration. Our goal is to enhance communication and education across all disciplines to help break down silos and improve quality patient care. We are devoted to the development of teamwork; focusing primarily on highly effective medical teams that optimize the use of information, people, and resources to achieve the best clinical outcomes for patients.

Kisha discovered her passion for the importance of effective inter-departmental communication and collaborative education while working within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at one of the largest facilities in Texas. Her primary focus was on the proactive prevention of infections across the OR and SPD to ensure patient safety. She was instrumental in resolving conflicts and improving information sharing, eliminating barriers to quality and safety and fostering inter-professional collaboration and education across all disciplines within the peri-operative arena.

As a published author, researcher and contributor for various publications in the field of health acquired infection prevention and inter-professional education/collaboration, Kisha has become recognized as an expert thought-leader planting the seed for positive change in the surgical healthcare arena. Her charisma inspires ideas through new approaches of inter-professional collaborative education, evidence-based research and addressing deficiencies in healthcare with a solution-based approach.
